About Mrs. Cannon
I grew up in Corvallis, Oregon and lived on the outskirts of town on 4 acres. My older brother and I played for hours in our huge backyard (the hillside) which had an orchard, fir trees, and dirt bike trails. It was an amazing home to grow up in. I played many sports growing up including baseball, soccer, basketball, swimming, volleyball, water skiing, tennis, softball, gymnastics, snowboarding, and track.
After graduating from Corvallis High School, I attended Oregon State University for 3 years in Engineering. I decided to take a break from school and moved to Bend, Oregon. I lived in Bend for 2 years where I rock climbed, snowboarded, hiked, and camped. I met my "to be" husband, Bob while playing in an outdoor volleyball league. Bob and I decided to move to Portland. While in Portland I worked at Jake's Famous Crawfish Restaurant and attended Portland State University. I graduated from PSU with a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science and Geology.

Bob and I were married in 2002 and I worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service doing stream restoration and volunteering in my stepson's 5th grade classroom. This is when I realized that I wanted to be a teacher. I went back to school at George Fox University and obtained my Masters in Education. I have worked in the Beaverton School District for 2 years and then made my best move to the Tigard Tualatin School District 8 years ago.
